I really enjoyed the book. I love a quick read that is also very informative. This book clearly lays out the goal and intent up front and then delivers what it says it will. All of the issues and methods addressed throughout are supported by real-life stories that I think make them more memorable, particularly the one from your presentation in college, that was hilarious, but I think any time you can personalize a larger idea like this it's helpful to get it to sync in and be remembered.
As someone who is a perfectionist and also deals with over-thinking, these traits are often out of my control because they are symptoms of depression and anxiety rather than the other way around. The book does get into anxiety and mentions things like CBT but does so in the context of saying that over-thinking can lead to larger issues like anxiety, which is probably true in some cases, but it's also true that over-thinking is not the overarching issue that leads to more issues but instead, the overarching issue is the larger mental health diagnosis that needs to be treated, not just the over-thinking.

The book does a great job of taking a deep dive into the psychological impact of overthinking on personal and professional life. The narrative is very engaging and my suggestions are only designed to enhance its appeal and effectiveness, especially with regard to reaching a diverse audience.

Thank you for sharing this practical book about common problems that hold folks back from becoming their best selves. The information you share explains several techniques I use with clients in my coaching practice. Sharing stories where people are successful adds hope. As powerful are the warning stories where individuals do not make changes in a timely fashion. I know teachers who wore themselves down and burned out. Their students started disliking the topics and stopped learning-the opposite of a masterful teachers effect.
We are not perfect. We can become better a step at a time!

As an overthinker, this book resonated with me immensely. Some of the real-life examples were spot on. The title intrigued me and, even though I didn't know what the book was about at first, it all made sense as I started reading. I didn't notice any errors in the book.
"There Is No Tiger" is a fantastic resource for chronic overthinkers or anyone wanting to quiet their mind and live more peacefully. The book's charm lies in its simplicity and relatability. The real-life examples of people dealing with overthinking and Mr. Arnold's approachable writing style make the complex topic easy to understand. I especially loved the practical exercises sprinkled throughout the book. From mindfulness practices to gratitude journaling, Mr. Arnold provides plenty of tools to help break free from the negative recurring thought patterns that can keep overthinkers stuck. The exercises are straightforward and actionable, making them perfect for incorporating into daily life.
